CoInitializeEx
When I used CoInitializeEx in the application, I got "undeclared identifier" error. I did not get any error if I changed it to CoInitialize. Could any body tell me why?

Just a thought: no DCOM installed on Win95?

Try using the /D _WIN32_DCOM in your projects settings. CoInitalizeEx is only available with NT 4 by defining the above. Try Goto definition of CoInitalize then searching for OcInitalizeEx within the file, above the definition you will see #if (_WIN32 >= 0x0040) | _WIN32_DCOM (or something to that effect.
