    Data Encryption API?

    What is the API used for data Encryption in visual basic? Im looking for the one that returns a key when encrypted, then that key is needed to decrypt the data

    Don't use CAPICOM with VB6. It worked fine until a year or so ago, when something killed it. It won't decrpyt properly anymore. I had to change an application because of it.
