Hi I'm New!
Hello!
I'm a Computer Science student at the University of Houston.
I've been having problems lately not programming in C++, but rather just coming up with a way to organize my thoughts before I actually start programming.
When I first started, my teacher told me that you should always start on paper first when working on a project/program/etc, and then the coding would be really easy because you have everything you need already.
But my problem is, how do I actually start on paper??
Thank you!

Re: Hi I'm New!
Depends on the task.
Any big problem can be broken into smaller problems than can be solved in such a way that solving them solves the bigger problem. You need to know how to break the big problems into their component parts.
If you're working with some type of algorithm, you need to be able to understand it in English (or whatever your native language is) before you try to translate it to code. Sketching out numbers and potential code paths can sometimes be useful in understanding what you need to do before you write the code.
