Learning "The Buisness"
Hello All:
I'm a currently unemployed software developer looking for my first opportunity as a developer. I've been in the IT industry for many years as and administrator, and now I'd like to move into the development arena. I've been searching all over the internet for entry level opportunities and the ones that keep coming up (in my area) are for developers who know equity derivatives and hedge funds. So my question is this:
Where does a software developer get knowledge of these industries , in order to make himself more marketable? How can I learn about these aspects of the financial industry (or ANY industry that is hiring) in a short amount of time?

OK. So here's the Million Dollar Question: how do I get into those jobs when I don't have enough experience (and of course I can't get the experience without the job)?

Re: Learning "The Buisness"
Start by reading books on programming and software development. Now give me the million dollars.

[Where is a million dollars for you to offer people ? You work hard to earn that money now you are doing a good deed ?]
I am not in a good mood after reading how you demean yourself.
ok, I have some problem unresolved, show me people's experience in solving them instead.
