Crystal 8 Developer Edition - MS SQL Data Source Error
When I try and set the data source to MS SQL via the Data Explorer, the MS SQL entry does not appear under the More Data Sources as I have seen in the past.
When I preview a report previously setup with a MS SQL data source, I get the error
The library "" cannot be found. Please check your installation. and then, Cannot open database, and then Physical database not found.
I am running XP Pro SP3, and have Visual Studio 2003 installed (after the Crystal 8 was installed originally). I have MS SQL 2005 Express installed.
I have tried re-installing Crystal, ensuring the MS SQL data access is ticked to install.
I have checked that I have both P2lsql.dll and P2ssql.dll in the Windows\Crystal folder.
Please advise.

Re: Crystal 8 Developer Edition - MS SQL Data Source Error
I have just established that neither the MS Access or MS SQL data sources will install on my PC. I can install and uninstall the others at will. Why?

Re: Crystal 8 Developer Edition - MS SQL Data Source Error
I have resolved this problem.
I installed the Connectivity Components or teh Client Tools from SQL 2000 Dev Edition.
Voila! MS SQL appeared.
