Setting up a New W7 Computer - BINQ Enforced
Has anyone set up a W7 computer recently ?
When you come to the part which talks about Search Engines most people just say use the default. (You get BINQ)
The default for most of the world is Google, but it is actually impossible to set Google up during setup.
Yes, there are a number of questions which sugges that you can select your own search engine, but yesterday when I tried to set Google the clever little Microsoft Installer said "The URL must contain the word TEST"
So.... www.google.com does not contain 'TEST' so the installer says - invalid URL
I am not sure what this is but I dont like it and am becoming more and more oposed to a company which forces you to do things you dont want to do
GEERS Microsoft

Funny, I had no problems setting Google to be my default search engine in Firefox on Windows 7...
