    Here is a question for you -- are you going to try and answer all of the question in his textbook, or are you going to actually write a C++ program that does something useful?

    If your goal is to write C++ programs, then you need much more than a general textbook. You need to learn how to write programs, not just spend time trying to answer every esoteric question in Stroustrup's textbook.

    What is your advice
    cannot figure it out is a lot of questions in the book
    And it saddens me.
