Solution for ads in desktop software?

I'm looking for some ad platform that allows embedding their ad feeds inside desktop applications. Something like Adsense but for applications.

I'm open to suggestions or alternatives.

I had an app that use to open a Web browser and show an add every time you used it.. Took me all of 5 minutes to delete it off my system and look for another solution...

To me Adware is Malware ... and I hate it..

I don't want to install 3rd party adware tools, open web browsers or anything like this.

All I want is to show a small text or image ad inside my application. Nothing fancy.

Anyway, I've found buysellads.com/sell/developer to be exactly what I was looking for.

I don't have an answer for you, but I have a question. What would be driving the ads? Would they be embedded into the app when you build it (and thus never change)? Would the ads do something? For instance, web ads are usually hyperlinked.

If you expect the app's ad to be dynamic, then you'd like be linking to a web service of some sort, so why not then just use a web-based ad server system via an embedded browser or web service?
