Cannot type certain letters in CEdit box

CEdit box is located in TVisualFormView where also an MSFlexgrid control is located. I can not enter particular letters like "t", "n" and "y", possibly even more. I can enter them in edit boxes everywhere else. Any idea what the cause of this might be and how to solve it?

Can you put them using SetWindowText?
Can you paste them from the clipboard?
Is it a pure CEdit or some subclassed control?
What message processing does the TVisualFormView class that differs from the default processing?

Your character set looks suspiciously like abbreviations for “true”, “no”, “yes”. I would also try “f” (for “false”).
Your code might be filtering these characters out for some reason.
Out of curiosity, what is TVisualFormView? Google has only SEVEN(!) hits, one of them is YOUR post on THIS forum exactly TEN years ago (yesterday). Happy anniversary!

Now that I've tried out all the letters, it occurs to me I've defined these in IDR_ACCELERATOR_CONTROLS and associated certain functions to them, which however I only which to use in other CView derived classes in my visual framework. The key seems to enforce those accelerator controls to only be active when certain specific views are active. I'll look for a solution to this myself, if I can't work it out I'll ask some more.

Crap, it looks like I already solved this problem nine years ago too. It's just now that I am expanding my old program with new view classes that I am having this problem again and forgot I had the same problem way back in the past.

This is the main reason why the use of non-modified characters (without Ctrl or Alt) is not recommended.
