My program works on my network but not on my clients'
Hi guys, is there someone who can guide me with one of those cases of strange system behavior in Windows X?
The case is as follows:
The program (.exe and BD) are located in Server DC 2012, accessed by various WS (with XP, W7, WX) and from an HV with WX on the same DC.
The program works perfectly and without errors in the described network (in my house)
The issue is that in my client's office the program works erratically whether it runs on the PC that shares the files ("Server") or on other computers, all of them have Windows 10.
Problems are solved when all the temp files (from everywhere) are cleared, and the computers are restarted, then the program works well for a few days until we need to repeat the cleaning process.
The events are as follows:
1.- The program closes by itself. Randomly & Not on all PC's
2.- The program starts by itself. Randomly & Not on all PC's
3.- When exiting the program, it is executed again. Randomly & Not on all PC's
4. Changes made from any WS are only seen in some WS, randomly.
In my network, everything is honey on flakes.
There is a party in the network of my client.
Please, guys... give me some ideas. I tested the App on another customer network (a laptop with WX and an Old PC with WXP and it works perfectly fine)
Thank you.
P.S. This has never happened before with another program or with other customers, the difference I see is that the PC's in this place are used for design (Adobe suite, Corel, paint and so on) so, they use lots of resources and this generates lots of temp files.
And the program is running while working with those apps
They execute the app from the "server" and also read the DB from "server"
What I am thinking, is that my customer should set up his network like mine, but first I'd like to have some fresh and experienced ideas.
Thank you again

Re: My program works on my network but not on my clients'
I saw something similar quite a few years ago with similar issues re programs closing etc. The problem was finely traced to network issues. I think that an old unmanaged switch was replaced with a much faster managed one. Once the network was working OK the problems with the programs went away and it all worked fine then.
All advice is offered in good faith only. All my code is tested (unless stated explicitly otherwise) with the latest version of Microsoft Visual Studio (using the supported features of the latest standard) and is offered as examples only - not as production quality. I cannot offer advice regarding any other c/c++ compiler/IDE or incompatibilities with VS. Thank you 2kaud, I agree with your point, I will talk about a solution with my customer and will let you know, so it can be useful for others.
Thank you again for the feedback.
