Win2KPro Installation
I'm trying to install a clean copy of Win2kPro on my machine, starting out with a completely empty HD. I use a DOS floppy with the CDROM drivers. Once I access the Win2k CD, and execute "setup.exe". I get an error indicating the program cannot be run in DOS. The PC will not boot from the Win2k CDROM. My Only solution is to install Win98, then upgrade to Win2K. Does anyone know how to install Win2k onto a blank HD? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Sam

Re: Win2KPro Installation
You should be able to boot the computer from the CD. Thats how I installed 2000 on my Computer. Make sure that in the boot sequence, the CD-ROM comes before the Hard Drive in your BIOS.

Re: Win2KPro Installation
The problem here is the Setup.exe is not a DOS program nor will DOS recognize it, but there is a solution don't worry.
When you access the CD go to the I386 Folder and run winnt.exe
cd I386\WINNT.EXE
This works in DOS.
Don't forget to rate!!!
