Times
I noticed in a few places aroung the site that there are frequent references to the current time.
Furthermore, it is stated that "all times are GMT".
However, they are clearly not.
Logging in from England, as I am, the site clock reads 10:30 when indeed local time is 10:30. However, local time is currently BST (that's British Summer Time), not GMT, so your site clocks are an hour out.
Intentional or oversight?
cheers,

You can set in your profile your current offset to the time.

Yes but
Hi Brad.
I've had a look at my profile and noted the feature - which is a very useful and commendable one. But the point is that what the site thinks is GMT is not GMT at all. Whether I set my personal profile an hour forward or not, that's still just wrong.
I don't mean to sound like I equate this with a cure for cancer, or anything, but, y'know. If it were me, I wouldn't want " All times are GMT. The time now is 04:54 PM" appearing on my site under any circumstances if the actual GMT was 05:54 pm.
I realise you must be about as busy as you can be, but there you are.
cheers, anyway,

Strange...
Mine seems to be working
All times are GMT +1 hour. The time now is 11:06 PM
Here in Belgium it's currently 11:06 PM

Yeah but listen:
Yeah, look, mine is showing the correct local time, the only part that is wrong is the assertion that this is GMT.
You have GMT + 1hr and the correct time shows. Fine. Indeed, the post-time displayed for your post on my machine is one hour behind the 11:06 you qoute in your post. But as I say, this is simply not GMT + 1hr. the correct local time for yourself in Belgium is not GMT + 1hr, but British Summer Time + 1hr, or indeed GMT + 2hrs.
Like I say, I know there are more important things in the world...

What's the point? The site isn't doing anything wrong. Each place on earth is in a specific time zone. England is in the timezone GMT, Belgium is in GMT+1. If Belgium (or England for that matter) choose to implement daylight saving time, and change the hour, the timezone doesn't change, because in Belgium it's still GMT+1, although actual time is GMT+1, +1 we added ourself. Same goes for BMT, which is GMT, but in some rang in time it is GMT, +1 they added themselves.
And indeed, on the server GMT isn't GMT, because the server is probably configured to change to daylight saving time.
Another option is to use i-time, made up by swatch, which will show the time of the day as a number of 1 to 1000, with 1 beeing the beginning of the day, GMT.
Or you could try moving to another timezone...
