    athalon XP2100 vs. Pentium

    I'm thinking about getting an Athalon XP2100. Which Pentium does its processor compare with? Is it worth the price? Or should I go for a Pentium?

    You can skip directly to the benchmark... In that (and other) benchmark, Athlon XP 2200+ is mostly slower than Pentium 4 2.53, but at average faster than Pentium 4 2.2 and 2.4. Go get an AMD processor I say, unless you really want to burn some money to get the fastest thing around.
