    I need the code too write the the registery,

    is there a reg object or something

    As for an object that reads/writes to the registry...there is this:
    http://www.merrioncomputing.com/EventVB/ApiRegKey.html

    which allows you to use the more reasonable synatx:

    '...snippet of larger code...
    Dim rkThis as ApiRegKey

    for Each rkThis In baseKey.SubKeys
    If rkThis.Name = "temporary" then
    '\\ delete that key...
    End If
    next rkThis
