How to import a backup registry in Win2000?
Hi,
My registry is broken, but I can not import my backup registry within Windows. Does someone know how I can do it on Windows 2000?
I have not used the back-up utility from Windows, but I have simply exported the registry from regedit.exe.
Thanks.

So, if you got a .reg file, simply double-click on it.

Thanks, but I have already tried that. Windows says that some keys are in use, so it fails to import all data.

You will probably need to rebuild the system.
And you might look into a proper backup utility.
