    Finding the Desktop Zone time

    The gmtime() routine fails to get the zone time for AKST and AKDT zones. Some one help me.

    Are you just trying to get the local time on your machine or the time of another location?

    To get the local time on your machine, use localtime(). gmtime() returns UTC time.
