How to program a DLL in VB 5.0?
Hi all...
I want to program a DLL in VB 5.0 with only 1 function which is to generate reports by using Crystal Reports and to be called from a VC++ program...
How can I do it?
Thanks

Start with New Project, chose ActiveX DLL project, add your function to the class (it's created in a project by default) as a method, make *.DLL (compile). That's it.

And is that function immediately exported so that I can use it in my VC++ program? Do you know how to use Crystal Reports that way? I think that way I cannot use Crystal Reports control.

I do not program VC++, but from VB I know, that when you compile DLL, it's registered automatically and it's available for all programs on this machine, in VB you can find it in Reference Dialog. I beleive that VC has some tool to add references to DLL.
I've never used DLLs with Crystal Control, so do not have anything to say.
