    Question oracle (or) sql server

    i am final year M.sc software engg student from india. my interest
    is database programming.

    i am planning to join a coaching centre to learn database programming.

    my que is
    1) which db should i select [Oracle (or) Sql server]
    2) which is easier to learn
    3) like oracle where there is no documentation, is it the same for
    sql server. what i mean is, does sql server provide complete
    programming help like msdn for visual studio
    4) I blindly trust microsoft products. Are there job oppurtunities
    widely open for sql server programmers

    coders please suggest. really confused.

    Depends on type of projects..Other programming experience you have and also on the answer to Q4.

    MS SQL Server I think.

    SQL Server comes with BOL (Books OnLine) which msdn-like help..A great reference.
    4) I blindly trust microsoft products. Are there job oppurtunities
    widely open for sql server programmers
    first ,, don't blindly trust any company ,,
    about job opportunities,,I don't know the conditions in India, But some Indians work in gulf (UAE for example) where Oracle developers are paid well.

    for myself .. I work MS SQL because it works as an integrated part of MS products and less expensive than Oracle...

    I prefer Oracle.. because of its larger scope and platform independent nature.

    more over Oracle india pvt Ltd, is doing lot of recruitments now a days..

    so u may prefer learning Oracle..

    but choice is urs

    oracle

    I suggest to choice oracle,because it is multiplatform.
