Ideas please...

I know this sounds funny, but actually I am looking for an idea for a project in the computing field (for my project in college). I am an IT student and so I just want to know what sort of ideas others might have. I selected VB because I am very user friendly with VB. So give any ideas you'll have please. Anything !!!

What kind of ideas? You want actual code or just by-word-of-mouth ideas?

It shouldn't be code. It should be some written ideas about a project. Eg :- Voice recognition

I've always been interested in Artificial Life (ALife). You could write some sort of simulator or cellular automa (CA).

I recently saw a vb program the simulated birds flocking re-written in VB here on code guru (Called BOIDS - You know, Like a New Yorker saying Birds).

If you want more info, just type in "ALife" in a web search engine, you'll get plunty of good links.
