But I haven't heard anything about VS7 yet...

Be patient !!!
Visual Studio 6.0 has only been been out for a little over a year. Whats the hurry? VS 6.0 is still a **** good little package.

Microsoft will lauch VS7.0 in year 2000. This is the upgrade version of VS98. In this version. VS7.0 contain lots of tool for buiding an business application on Window2000, it support COM+, XML, . . .
